The Fidelidad Veracruzana Bridge, which is part of the Perote/Banderilla y Libramiento de Xalapa Motorway, presents a physical progress of 50%. Right now, works are underway in order to finalize the assembly of the forming carriages of the pillar 1 and the construction of the capitals formwork over pillars 2 and 3. This four spans’ bridge (90 m + 145 m+ 145 m + 90 m) is 470 m long and 140 m high. The deck is arched, with level variation, and will be built according to the succeeding progress of each pillar. The deck section is a single cell box, longitudinally and transversally prestressed, of variable height between 4.5 and 8 m and width of 17.94 m. The construction of this bridge, fully subcontracted to Idinsa, a Mexican affiliate of Mota-Engil, is scheduled to be completed in December 2011.
